Ensuring the good health of your family pet is paramount particularly as domestic animals are susceptible to a range of infectious diseases which can threaten their wellbeing and even prove fatal. It is vital that your cats, dogs and rabbits are vaccinated against potentially serious conditions annually to protect their health and that of your family as some illnesses, particularly canine, can be transferred to humans.

Grange Vets will ensure that your pet is thoroughly protected against diseases using the NOBIVACĀ  vaccine to safeguard against conditions such as distemper in dogs which is viral and affects the gastrointestinal, respiratory and central nervous system.

Other serious conditions treated by NOBIVAC include infectious hepatitis, an acute liver infection caused by adenovirus, parvovirus, parainfluenza and leptospirosis. Grange offers a puppy initial course of two vaccines over two visits with a booster a year later to protect your new pet.

Also important is vaccination against kennel cough which while not compulsory is vital if your dog is staying in kennels. Many establishments will not accept pets without this nasal vaccine, which must be administered at least two weeks before their stay.

Cats are protected against flu, enteritis and other feline conditions using NOBIVAC Tricat FELV. As part of this Grange offers kitten vaccinations with two visits from nine weeks old followed through with a yearly booster.

Rabbits are vaccinated once yearly with NOBIVAC Myxo-RHD which can be given from a few weeks old combining a full 12 months protection against both myxomatosis and rabbit haemorrhagic disease.
