Kim Morton
Clinical Director
BVSc MRCVSKim qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2003 and returned to the north east immediately. She has worked at a number of local practices, ultimately becoming the Clinical Director of Grange Vets in spring 2018, returning to her hometown of Norton. Kim’s particular interests are behaviour issues, soft tissue surgery and avian species. She has a particular soft spot for Border Terriers. Berry the border joins the 2 rescue cats at home.

Zoe Campbell
Practice Manager
RVNZoe graduated as an RVN in 2013 in a GP practice, she then moved quite quickly into emergency care whilst still working within a GP practice. For over 10 years she worked at an A&E for animals. After leaving the emergency care in Dec 2023, she went on to work in a referral centre on the medicine team, but primarily in ICU. In May 2024 Zoe joined the Grange Team as Practice Manager. Outside of work you will find Zoe at Pottery or at home with her 2 Labradors and rescue cat.

Natalie Graham
Senior Veterinary Surgeon
BVSc MRCVSNatalie qualified as a vet from the University of Liverpool in 2008. She has been a vet for quite a while now! She has always worked with small animals in various practices across the Northeast. Her special interest is Veterinary Dermatology and she hopes to complete her certificate of advanced veterinary practice in the next couple of years. Outside of work, she has two children, a husband, 2x dogs and cat. Nat loves running, going to the gym and tap dancing. For peace and quiet she loves to escape to her allotment.

Allison Latimer
Veterinary Surgeon
BVetMed MRCVSAllison qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 1989. After briefly working in mixed practice, she has spent most of her career working with dogs and cats. Her interest is soft tissue surgery. Allison works 1 or 2 days operating at Grange and also works at a local rehoming charity.
In her spare time Allison enjoys swimming, camping, and hiking, often with her 2 sons. She also takes dance and yoga classes and has recently started running.
Allison has a rescue dog, Blossom, a lurcher cross, and a mischievous Oriental cat, Minerva.

Rebbecca Smith
Head Nurse
RVNRebbecca joined Grange Vets back in 2008 as a student nurse after studying for a diploma in Animal Management at Askham Bryan College in York. She is now our Head Nurse and looks after the nursing team. She qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in February 2016, and has a particular interest in nursing inpatients and critical care of pets. Outside of work Rebbecca owns two dogs one Labradoodle and a Cavapoo.

Shaun Cleary
Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse
RVNShaun is a Registered Veterinary Nurse. He qualified in January 2018 from Myerscough College. He has worked at Grange Vets since 2002 after initially doing a work experience placement while still at school. He has a special interest in birds and their care, as well as assisting vets with X-rays and enjoys helping the clients and their pets which ever way he can. Shaun is also responsible for health and safety, radiation protection supervisor and general maintenance of the practice. He owns a little black and white cat called Nova, a Syrian hamster called Oreo and not forgetting his two guinea pigs Cookie and Sadie.

Nichola Bateman
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Nikki has been a registered veterinary nurse since Feb 2021 and has been with Grange Vets since the end of 2019 where she completed her training alongside East Durham college. A strong passion of hers is welfare and husbandry, particularly in small furries. She has enjoyed learning more about nursing wildlife patients, and has even taken poorly hedgehogs home to continue their care. She shares her home with 3 cats and 2 rabbits

Sarah Ward
Registered Veterinary Nurse
RVNSarah Joined us as a student nurse in September 2019 after studying zoology at the University of Hull and discovering her love for animal behaviour and husbandry. She is now a Registered Veterinary Nurse here and is particularly interested in post operative care and nursing consultations. She currently doesn’t own any pets of her own so makes sure she gets extra cuddles off the patients who come to visit.

Debbie Rowley
Animal Care Assistant
Debbie has been working in the veterinary industry for many years, mainly working as an animal care assistant and also done a few years on reception. She enjoyed reception as she got to meet and great our clients but her passion is for caring for our patients and wildlife. Debbie is the proud owner of two dogs Finlay and Dougal along side her two cats Marmalade and Barnard who she took in as a stray and is now loving life in his new forever home. She also has a lot of love for wildlife and often has hedgehogs and birds rehabilitating at her home.

Rebecca Mence
Head Receptionist
Becky previously worked at Dog’s Trust and has qualifications in animal welfare and animal management. Becky Joined the team in 2016 as a receptionist. Becky says’ I love reception as we get to see all the clients that come into the practice and help to make their journey as stress free as possible’. In 2019 Becky became Head Receptionist at Grange and deals with a lot of insurance enquiries.
At home Becky has 1 dog and 2 guinea pigs and in her spare time she enjoys going on family adventures with her two little boys.

Rachel Armstrong
Receptionist
Rachel joined us in 2024 as one of our reception team. Though this is her first job in the animal sector, she has always loved animals and has recreationally studied canine behaviour as well as assisting with puppy training classes with CB dogs when she lived in Manchester. Now Rachel has her own two dogs Woof and Rowdy, and a cat called Aslan.

Carole Compton
Receptionist
Carole joined us at Grange in April 2024 as a part time receptionist. Her previous career included 17 years as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in a local veterinary hospital. After a break to start a family Carole returned to the industry as she has always had a passion for animals and their welfare. Her soft spots include gundogs and Hungarian vizslas, and cats. She looks forward to meeting you and caring for your pet.

Naomi Wyatt
Student Veterinary Nurse
Naomi joined Grange in 2023 as a student veterinary nurse and hopes to qualify as an RVN this year. Whilst being with us, she has learned to love all aspects of working in a veterinary practice. She has a keen interest in nursing inpatients and take pride in ensuring our patients feel happy and comfortable during their time in practice.
Outside of work Naomi spends most of her time with her dogs and horses enjoying the countryside.

Jennifer Gray
Receptionist
Jenni joined us in December 2024, she has been in business administration roles for many years but in different settings. This is her first job working with animals and is loving her current role. Outside of work she likes to spend time with her family and her dog Luna.

Holly Craddy
Receptionist
Holly joined the Grange team in August 2024. She is currently studying criminology at Durham University. Holly loves working in customer service and as always loved being around animals. At home Holly as had an array of pets over the years from chickens to marine fish. Holly currently has 4 cats, 3 dogs, 4 guinea pigs and several fish including those that live in the pond.
